Adele blew fans away when she disappeared from the stage in Las Vegas over the weekend. 

The megastar, 34 – who finally kicked off her long-awaited residency at Caesars Palace on Friday – took everyone’s breath away during the finale moments of the show when she vanished under a downpour of glittering pink confetti. 

The video of the magical finale has taken social media by storm, enchanting the multiplatinum singer’s massive fanbase.

‘THIS IS SO COOL OMG,’ wrote one gobsmacked fan on Twitter. 

All caps and shocked emoji faces abounded as another fan tweeted: ‘ADELE NEVER DOES THE SAME SHOW, SHE ALWAYS SURPRISES US. I LOVE YOU.’

The stunning trick occurred when the Grammy winner was singing the night’s final song Love is a Game. 

As she sang the last few sweeping notes of her orchestral ballad, a massive amount of sparkling pink confetti rained down from the ceiling, right on top of Adele.

When the confetti cleared, the multi-platinum icon was gone.

And that seemed to be the general sentiment across social media as Adele proved to the world why her Las Vegas Residency was worth the wait.

Adele’s breathtaking first performance in her Weekends with Adele residency – which runs from November 18 through March 25, 2023 – comes after her eleventh-hour cancellation in January. 

Adele’d tearful video announcement claimed that many of the people on her team had contracted Covid-19, which slowed down preparations at the worst possible time, but subsequent reporting indicated that the hitmaker wasn’t happy with the initial stage show.

The British superstar looked incredible as she took to the stage in a classy black gown, and performed some of her biggest hits, including Hello, Set Fire To The Rain, When We Were Young, Skyfall and Hometown Glory.

The Someone Like You hitmaker had the support of her boyfriend Rich Paul, 40, who looked dapper in a black suit as he sat in the audience and watched her perform, as well as her 10-year-old son Angelo.

The Oscar-winning songstress made the evening a memorable and intimate one for fans, who reported that she walked through the crowd and chatted with many of them.
