A pair of social media influencer twins have sparked outrage after posting a video of themselves feeding sushi to a homeless man to try and win an iPhone

The latest Instagram offering from Russian twins Adelya and Alina Fakhteeva, 24, depicts the pair in a video for the Russian ‘We Care’ competition.

The competition offers prizes such as iPhones, Playstations 4s and other expensive gadgets.

The twins – who gained influencer status by posting racy pictures of themselves in private jets and luxury yachts – are seen walking down the street when they spot a wheelchair-ridden homeless man.

Somber piano music plays in the background as they turn to each other and say in Russian: ‘Poor thing, he probably hasn’t eaten for a long time.’

The pair then make a phone call to a restaurant, with a delivery man quickly appearing with a tray full of sushi.

The twins stand either side of the homeless man in the wheelchair, feeding him individual pieces of sushi.

They finally hand him the tray so he can feed himself.

The video ends with him telling the pair: ‘Everyone knows that there are good people who can help.’

The video provoked outrage online after it was revealed the man in the video was not an actor, but an actual homeless man.

It was discovered that the local man was Kazan local Yuri Zasorin, a former beekeeper.

One Instagram user said: ‘These twins are so divorced from real life that they do not even understand how the poor can be helped.’
