Shoestring’s offspring! Alice Eve and her brother George soak up the sun (and beer) during a trip to Barbados for a friend’s wedding
When you’re single at a wedding, there is perhaps no better person to have at your side than your little brother.
And Star Trek actress Alice Eve certainly appeared to be enjoying spending time with her sibling George as they soaked up the sun in Barbados during a trip for a friend’s nuptials.
The star, who reportedly split from her boyfriend Peter Czernin in April, was seen holding a glass of beer with her brother as she walked along the Caribbean beach this week.
Dressed in a red bikini and leopard print sarong Ms Eve, 41, was seen laughing with George, one of her two brothers.
They and middle brother Jack are the children of Trevor Eve – star of 1970s detective series Shoestring, below – and Sharon Maughan, who fronted the long-running Gold Blend adverts.
While their choices of drink were fairly modest, the pair were believed to be staying at Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s beachside mansion on the island during their visit.
The ten-bedroom property, which boasts a swimming pool and a gym, costs up to £25,000 to rent for a week.
Ms Eve – who stars in Sky’s new hit romcom The Lovers – is believed to have been single since she split from Czernin and has now turned to exclusive dating app Raya.
Czernin is the heir to the Howard de Walden barony, which owns 92 acres of Marylebone, Central London, including Harley Street.
Ms Eve split from her financier husband Alex-Cowper-Smith, her childhood sweetheart, in 2017 after three years of marriage.
Speaking of having a ‘rebirth’ following the split, she said in 2018: ‘I think that after divorce, I took my life a little bit more seriously, because you have to face endings.
‘You look at relationships, friendships… I was like, ‘Where do I want to be at 45? What do I want to have in my life or not have in my life?’
‘You can streamline a little bit. I think I valued my family a lot more and didn’t take it for granted.’
