‘I have to take it out!’ Alison Hammond puts her temporary tooth in a glass of water on This Morning leaving Dermot O’Leary and Gok Wan in hysterics

Alison Hammond left Dermot O’Leary and Gok Wan in hysterics during Friday’s episode of This Morning when she had to remove her her temporary tooth.

The presenter, 47, explained that she had placed the denture in a glass of water during the ad break so she could try Gok’s Chinese chicken.

Broadcaster Dermot, 49, broke down laughing as the cooking segment descended into chaos, with all three presenters struggling to control their giggles.

Alison explained: ‘I don’t really mind showing you, but basically I’ve got a temporary, what do you call it? Like Invisalign but with a temporary tooth on it.

‘And I have to keep putting it in, but every time I eat…’ she added before Dermot and Gok burst laughing and shouted: ‘Tell them where you put it!’

‘I can’t eat with it in! So I’ve put in in here, just for the time being!’ Alison continued, showing the glass of water to the camera.

‘I can’t laugh wide because then you will see my missing tooth!’ she giggled as Dermot covered his mouth and Gok shrieked.

‘From hanging out with the stars to celebrating the biggest night for cinema, and joining the discussions with film fans, get ready for good vibes only.’

Richard, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in crime biography Can You Ever Forgive Me?, will host the 76th annual film awards ceremony at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in February.

The 65-year-old said: ‘I feel hugely privileged to be hosting the EE Baftas for the first time and the opportunity to celebrate the very best of the extraordinary range of this year’s films.’
