‘I enjoy wearing clothes that show off my figure’: Amanda Holden, 51, insists she has no plans to tone down her eye-popping outfits

Amanda Holden has vowed to continue to wear her eye-popping outfits, saying while she has the figure she has no plans to stop.

The TV judge, 51, clapped back at critics of her racy ensembles, telling The Daily Star: ‘They’ve got too much time to think – that’s my opinion on that.’

She continued: ‘While I’ve still got the figure, I do love a bodycon dress of a good, well-made pair of jeans with a T-shirt, a blazer and a nice heel.’

‘I enjoy wearing clothes that show off my figure. I dress for myself and wear what makes me feel good.’

She added: ‘It’s sunny – I don’t think when I was in the public eye in the 90s anyone looked to me as any kind of fashion person – but I think it’s assumed they do now and I’m in my 50s.

‘I find it quite weird that people didn’t star asking me where I got my clothes form until my 40s or 50s – which I’m really enjoying.’

Amanda has previously proclaimed she enjoys wearing latex at Britain’s Got Talent auditions and said she doesn’t think anyone should feel pressure to ‘dress for your age’.

This comes despite a plunging outfit Amanda wore during the 2017 semi-finals prompting  663 complaints to Ofcom from viewers while a gown she wore on the 2020 series drew another 235 complaints.

Not letting the naysayers get to her, Amanda told The Mirror in April: ‘I’m thinking more rubber – I enjoyed wearing latex in the auditions, so I’m thinking more latex, more sweating in the lives.’

Amanda previously laughed off viewer complaints about her fashion choices and said that her mother Judith adored her outfits.

She told The Mirror: ‘Mum said “Ooh, let them talk. You look better than girls half your age.” When my mum was 48 she wouldn’t have dared wear a mini skirt, because she’s of the era where you wouldn’t dare get your knees out if you were nearly 50. Whereas I look at Kylie and J-Lo and think, well if she’s still doing it, I’m still doing it,” she said at the time.

‘Of course, I have fun on Britain’s Got Talent – it’s the perfect opportunity to take risks. Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age. It’s all about body positivity and feeling good.’

Joking about how much attention her breasts and racy ensembles get, Amanda previously quipped that they need their own representation and will be going on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.

She told MailOnline: ‘I am seriously thinking my girls need separate representation to me, because they are known on their own. They don’t need me, they’re going to go off and do Piers Morgan’s Life Stories on their own next year!

‘They’re going to do their own album, they’re bringing out their own autobiography – The Truth Behind The Bra!’
