Amber Gill and Amy Hart have revealed they like new contestant Amber Beckford‘s ‘coldness’, having watched Monday’s returning episode of Love Island.
Having starred on Season 5 of the ITV2 reality show, the former flight attendant, 24, and model, 29, gave their take on this year’s contestants during an appearance on Tuesday’s This Morning.
Amy claimed the nanny isn’t ‘settling for second best’, having been left visibly disappointed after the public paired her with Dami Hope.

Amber said of her frosty first impression: ‘I was a bit like that, so I loved her,’ with Amy adding: ‘She’s not playing it safe. Everyone loves a day one couple, but she’s not settling for second best.’
On the public voting couples together, Amy said: ‘We’re more invested, we’ve seen the videos,’ while Amber observed: ‘I think they were very disappointed.
‘I think the first couples – you never really stay together anyway, so it doesn’t really matter.’

Amy said: ‘The thing I would’ve felt is, is this person stuck with me?’
With Tasha Ghouri being the programme’s first ever deaf contestant, Amber said: ‘I love that for representation of diversity and it was so powerful how she told everyone and it was so sweet.’
Amy added that she thinks it’s ‘really inspirational for young people’.

She said of contestant, Gemma Owen’s famous dad being footballer Michael Owen: ‘Obviously she’s been trailed in articles for 3 months and if you’re going in you read all the articles so it’s between Gemma and Luca and who’s gonna break first and admit they know’.
During Love Island’s Series 8 premiere, Amber and Dami were paired up, and they certainly made for a stunning duo during the first dramatic coupling of the series.
Revealing the girl he’d be coupling up with, thanks to the public vote, host Laura Whitmore announced that it would Amber, who told her: ‘Yeah why not, I guess we’ll see!’

Dami could have competition as Amber previously admitted she has dated someone famous, but is the name a secret for now.
If the couple hit it off, Amber will have to win over Dami’s grandma as he said: ‘I don’t know how my grandma is going to feel if I find my wife on a TV show!’
