The new parents couldn’t look more in love as they frolicked in the Ligurian Sea while enjoying their first anniversary following the birth of their eight-month-old son — Oliver Sozzani Carrozzini — on October 25, 2021.

Bee, whose maiden name is Shaffer, wore a black halter bikini top with a buckle in the center and matching bikini bottoms for the outing.

Her long dark hair was pulled up into a messy bun at the nape of her neck, and she sported dark sunglasses while on the boat.

After applying sunscreen, she removed her shades and let down her hair before following her husband and jumping off the boat into the sea.

Francesco, who is the son of late Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, sweetly stood on the boat’s ladder and held onto her hand up until the moment her feet hit the water.

He looked just as chic as his wife in a pair of dark patterned swim trunks. While she swam, he threw on a pair of goggles and enjoyed some snorkeling.

The boat, which was rented from Cesare Charter, featured an Italian flag on the back. They were joined by a man in a striped shirt who appeared to be the captain of the vessel.

Francesco rinsed off his body with a hose after they were done swimming, and they both wrapped tan towels around their bodies while drying off.

It’s unclear how long Bee and Francesco are staying in Portofino — or if their baby boy is with them on their Italian vacation.

Francesco took to Instagram on July 3 to post a photo of himself sitting outside in a metal chair and tagged Portofino as his location.

In the caption, the photographer wrote ‘Casa’ — the Italian word for home — and added an Italian flag emoji.

On Thursday, Francesco shared a black and white snapshot of a woman emerging from the Ligurian Sea on his Instagram Stories. Only the woman’s silhouette could be made out, but it appeared to be his wife in her black bikini.

Bee has yet to post pictures from their Italian vacation, but last month she documented their visit to Los Angeles with their son, Oliver.

She shared adorable snapshots of their baby boy at their stylish LA home, including one of him enjoying a dip in the pool with his dad.

The family of three also visited The Polo Lounge at Beverly Hills Hotel, and Oliver met his grandmother’s colleague Lisa Love, who is the West Coast director of Vogue and Teen Vogue.

‘Ollie in LA!’ Bee captioned the sweet images.

Oliver’s middle name, Sozzani, is a tribute to his paternal grandmother, who was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Italian from 1988 until she passed away from lung cancer in December 2016 at the age of 66.

Sozzani and Wintour shared a close friendship, and Bee and Francesco are thought to have met through their mothers as children.

Speculation about the duo’s relationship began in October 2016, when they attended a screening of Francesco’s documentary about his mother together.

Bee and Francesco then announced their engagement in March 2017, two months before the then-bride-to-be showed off her ring for the first time on the red carpet at that year’s Met Gala.

They tied the knot officially on July 7 at Wintour’s Long Island home, before flying to Italy from New York the following day in order to wed once again in an intimate ceremony in Portofino on July 9.

For both ceremonies, Bee donned a white dress, although she chose a different design for each wedding location. They included a classic silhouette to say her first ‘I do,’ then a more summer-friendly Dolce & Gabbana alternative for her second time tying the knot.

Details of both weddings were kept very much under wraps, and Bee declined to publicize her nuptials in the pages of her mother’s magazine, as so many other high-society brides have chosen to do in the past.

It is understood that the couple implemented a strict no-social media rule at their weddings, echoing the same regulations that Wintour insists upon at the Met Gala — although those restrictions have become increasingly lax over the years.

Francesco and Bee have always tried to keep their personal lives under the radar. In the four years since their wedding, she has shared just a few social media snaps of her husband, including a black and white photo from their wedding to mark their three-year anniversary last July.

She kept her pregnancy secret for roughly six months before a source close to them revealed the news, which was later confirmed when she was pictured sporting a baby bump during a romantic trip to Portofino with her husband.

Several weeks later, she posted a silhouetted photo of her bump on Instagram, along with a blue heart in the caption — teasing that she was expecting a baby boy.

Bee’s first post announcing Oliver’s birth last fall was quickly flooded with congratulatory comments from a host of her celebrity friends, including Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and Katy Perry.

Unsurprisingly, a number of high-profile figures from within the fashion world were quick to offer their congratulations in the comments section.

Zac Posen, Joseph Altuzarra, and Jennifer Meyer — the jewelry designer ex-wife of actor Tobey Maguire — all sent well wishes to the new mom.

Bee, who had worked in a behind-the-scenes role on Broadway for several years, was also sent several sweet messages from musical stars, including Dear Evan Hansen’s Ben Platt and singer Josh Groban.
