Peach PRC has been slammed for her cover of Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus.

The singer and TikTok star, 24, has been criticised by fans for releasing an ‘autotune-filled’ cover of the millennial classic.

‘Absolutely slaughtered my childhood favourite,’ one person commented.

‘So much autotune that this could be literally anyone,’ another person said. ‘Never heard someone ruin a song so badly,’ a third wrote.

‘It’s such a shame that once a cover comes out, the original has to be erased and never heard again, such a cruel world. Survival of the fittest,’ another said.

She also told Nine Honey, the band Wheatus privately messaged following the release of her cover and gave her some advice.

‘They were like, “I think it’s awesome, it’s really fun.” Like, you know, “F–k what the haters are saying. Like, they hated it when we put it out 20 years ago. So like, don’t stress about it”,’ she said.
