Top designers at Three Birds Renovations have created an ultra-stylish display home like no other that fans of the renowned trio can build for themselves for $1million.

Founders and best friends Erin Cayless, Bonnie Hindmarsh and Lana Taylor brought all their favourite concepts from their own houses and previous projects together to create the first ever Three Birds Dream Home in the suburb of Riverview in Sydney‘s north.

The incredible home has a chic neutral palette of whites, light timber, sage green and marble, as well as a show-stopping living room with a huge window soaring more than six-metres to the double-storey ceiling and an uber-luxe master suite that looks like something out of a five-star hotel.

Lana (pictured right with Bonnie, left and Erin, centre) said the Dream House is a ‘best of’ Three Birds with all the best features and all the things they’ve learnt, loved, lived with themselves

Lana said it was a challenge to pack all their favourite design elements into the Dream House, built in collaboration with Rawson Homes, that could be replicated time and time again.

‘We knew what worked and we knew what people liked and we thought can we create a home that has all the best features and all the things we’ve learned and loved and lived with ourselves and put it into this one “best of”,’ she said.

‘You can’t create a diamond without pressure and I think we got our little diamond here – it is our Three Birds Dream Home for people to be able to buy and live in.’

In the ensuite, Bonnie said the huge mirror takes up the entire wall behind the vanity makes the space 'feel bigger' and natural light from the skylight above the freestanding bath 'creates height'

The celebrity-worthy wardrobe has a bench seat, metres of hang and storage space and is separated from the room by linen curtains that 'soften the space' and make it feel 'romantic', Bonnie said

The creative trio said they had a number of ‘non-negotiable’ design details they insisted on when it came to creating the home including the wider than usual hallways and the unique curved staircase in the entryway that looks like it’s ‘floating on air’.

A servery window opens the room out onto the covered alfresco area that can be used all year round in rain, hail and shine features a curved built-in seat and leads to the grassy lawn with an outdoor lounge and sparkling pool with a day-bed.

What are the three golden rules of styling?

1. Create a vision board showing how you want a space to look and how you want to feel in it before you even start.

2. Remember bigger is not always better. The space around your furniture is just as important as having big pieces of furniture.

3. Remember new soft furnishings can often refresh many rooms. You don’t always need to carry out giant renovations to get great results.

Another skylight features over the shower in the shared bathroom next door by the two additional bedrooms and a curved feature wall is adorned with penny-round mosaic tiles.

‘There’s no such thing as a bad skylight,’ Lana said.

‘The skylights over the shower is something we’ve done from day dot – you can shower under the stars or shower under the sun, it’s just beautiful.’

A second lounge or movie room is upstairs with floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors that ‘create character’ and connect the space to the yard and the rest of house while remaining private.

‘This could have been open without the glass doors and many people may have preferred that but I like that you can cut out the sounds from the living room below and its still really see-through, light and beautiful,’ Bonnie said.

‘The floor-to-ceiling windows is something we’ve been doing from literally house one – it’s a lovely way you can be upstairs and inside but really feel connected to the yard,’ Lana added.
