Bachelor In Paradise: Kate Gallivan stuns Logan Palmer by rejecting his rose offer during ceremony

Kate Gallivan stunned Logan Palmer when she turned down his rose at the final ceremony on Monday night’s two-hour episode of Bachelor in Paradise on ABC.

‘Logan we have had some unforgettable moments on the beach,’ Kate, 33, a real estate agent from Los Angeles, said. ‘But you also told me that I was critical, looked down on you, not warm enough, and stimulated by the drama, when in reality those are projections that I feel from you.’

Kate said when host Jesse Palmer, 44, said earlier to ask themselves if they are happy or in love that ‘the answers for those questions for me is no.’

‘I know what I want and this isn’t it,’ Kate said.

Kate then walked off and left the beach. Jesse then stepped in and told Logan, 26, a production technician from San Diego, that because no one accepted his rose that his time in Paradise was over. Logan hugged his friends goodbye and left.

‘It just hurts,’ Logan said as he left. ‘I don’t know where to go from here.’

The show opened with the group being worried before the last rose ceremony. Mara Agrait, 33, an entrepreneur from Collingswood New Jersey got up before the ceremony and took herself out of Paradise.

‘It’s painfully obvious that my person is not here,’ Mara said.

Jesse told everyone that Paradise was coming to an end and that they needed to take a hard look at their relationships. The men had the roses and Jesse told the women that they didn’t have to accept it.

Genevieve Parisi , 27, a bartender from Rehoboth, Massachusetts, was nervous that Aaron Clancy, 28, an insurance agent from San Diego, wasn’t going to give her a rose.

Michael Allio, 38, a business owner from Akron, Ohio, went first and gave his rose to Danielle Maltby, 37, a nurse from Nashville. Brandon Jones, 28, a traveling nurse recruiter from Portland, gave his rose to Serene Russell, 26, an elementary school teacher from Oklahoma City. Johnny DePhillipo, 26, a realtor from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, gave his rose to Victoria Fuller, 28. Tyler Norris, 26, a business owner from Wildwood, New Jersey, gave his to Brittany Galvin, 25, a model from Chicago. Aaron gave his rose to Genevieve. Twin Justin Young, 24, gave his rose to Florence Alexandra and his brother Joey gave his to Shanae Ankney, 30, a recruiter from Sycamore, Ohio.

The next morning, Jesse came in and said that Paradise was over. He said that it was now time to find if the love that they had would make it in the real world. He said there would be Fantasy Suites for those who want to continue and get engaged.

‘Paradise is coming to an end, and it’s time to figure out the after paradise,’ Brittany said. ‘I’m feeling really anxious right now.’

Brandon told Serene that he was so blessed to have her in his life.

Brittany said it wouldn’t make sense for her to leave Paradise with Tyler unless he said he loved her. Tyler then told her that he loved her. Brittany said she loved him too.

‘Am I ready to get engaged right away? No,’ Tyler said.

Brittany agreed. They both decided to leave Paradise and start their lives outside together.

Joey and Shanae spoke. Shanae started crying.

‘I wouldn’t say I’m not independent because I live with my parents,’ Joey said.

Shanae said she wanted a man and not someone who made Tik Toks. Joey said she was being disrespectful.

‘I just don’t think it’s there,’ Shanae said.

His twin Justin told Florence that he didn’t think they would pursue things outside of Paradise and she agreed. Justin and Joey got in a car and left Paradise together.

‘I came to Paradise to be in love, fall in love and find my husband and that’s not Joey,’ Shanae said in a car leaving.

Johnny worried about whether he was ready to propose to Victoria. Victoria told him that she loved him. Johnny said she had flipped his whole world upside down.

‘I can’t imagine life without you,’ Johnny said. ‘I want to be everything for you.’

Aaron spoke to Genevieve and he told her that he felt conflicted. Aaron said he fell in love with her but he had an issue when Genevieve kept packing her bags when they had a fight.

‘I need someone that can give me security.’ Aaron said. ‘ And if I’m willing to stick around, then I need someone that is willing to stick around too.’

Aaron said because of that he didn’t think they could continue their relationship outside of Paradise. Aaron said he was at peace with the fact that their relationship didn’t work out. Genevieve didn’t say anything to him.

Genevieve went back and packed her bags. She told Victoria that she hated how Aaron turned everything on her. Genevieve then stormed back onto the beach to confront Aaron.

‘It’s clear now that we don’t fit together,’ Aaron said. ‘This time you can pack your bags and I promise you I won’t come up to stop you.’

Aaron and Genevieve both left Paradise in separate cars.

Michael went to talk to Danielle.

‘I feel so lucky, Michael,’ Danielle said.

He told her he had felt lost and numb for the longest time. He showed her that he always carried a compass with him so he wouldn’t get lost.

‘I can’t help but think this compass brought me to you,’ Michael said crying.

Michael said he wanted to introduce her to his son James when the time was right.

‘The future just looks hopeful,’ Michael said.

They both left together.

‘It’s all I want,’ Danielle said.

At night the only two remaining couples Johnny and Victoria and Brandon and Serena sat down and had a romantic dinner together. They shared stories about each other and about their experiences in Paradise.

Johnny said he couldn’t leave without her.

‘Well, you better put a ring on it,’ Victoria said.

Brandon and Serene checked into their fantasy suite. He told her he was so glad he found her. Brandon said he would never let her go. The two kissed.

‘He’s the one,’ Serene said.

Johnny and Victoria went to their fantasy suite. Victoria said she felt before like she never deserved anyone to love her. Johnny said felt the same way.

Johnny asked her if she was ready to be engaged and she said she was.

‘I’m a 1,000 percent ready,’ Victoria said.

Johnny said he didn’t know if a person ever felt ready for an engagement and then Victoria said in a confessional that hearing Johnny say that was heartbreaking.

The two went to the fantasy suite to have a serious conversation off camera.

Bachelor In Paradise returns Tuesday for the season finale on ABC.
