‘Yeah, nobody really talked about your birthday on Friday, now that I think about it,’ Seth joked.

‘You also announced some pretty cool news on Friday as well,’ Seth, 48, said.

‘I got engaged,’ Beanie said as she showed off her engagement ring to applause from the studio audience.

‘Thank you. You know, I think given what’s going on in our country right now. Me marrying soon-to-be my wife, Bon, Bonnie, but I call her Bon. You know, I think it’s really important for us to tell our story and to live very proudly,’ Beanie said.

‘And I just love her so much, Seth. She’s just the best thing to ever happen to me,’ she added.

Seth noted that Beanie and Bon proposed to each other, but it was sort of a surprise for the Booksmart star.

‘Just literally every single person in my life was lying to me,’ Beanie said.

Beanie said Bon sent her to the beach with her mother Sharon, brother Jonah Hill, 38, and her friend Anna.

Bon suggested they get dressed up to meet up later with her parents and Beanie said her mother faked being sick so they wouldn’t be early and ruin the surprise.

Beanie said her mother drove slowly on Pacific Coast Highway while complaining of stomach pain and even stopped and ran into a random restaurant in West Los Angeles.

After they mutually proposed, Beanie said she whispered to Bon, ‘My mom almost pooped on the side of the road.’

‘And she goes, “It was all a lie to make sure you didn’t get here early.” And I was like, “My mom deserves an Oscar.” I was like, “This is literally the best.” And I’ve worked with some amazing people, Seth. It was the best performance I’d ever seen in my life,’ Beanie said.

Beanie is said to have met Bonnie while working on the 2019 film How to Build a Girl, where Bonnie, 31, was listed as a co-producer.

The Lady Bird star was on the NBC talk show promoting her Broadway revival of Funny Girl at the August Wilson Theatre.

She’s been portraying Fanny Brice since the revival opened on Broadway in April but will stepping down from the show in September.

It has been rumoured that Glee’s Lea Michele, 35, is set to take over from the star.
