The hitmaker has been performing at the iconic indoor arena on a monthly basis since 2014, and he has previously said he plans to keep doing regular shows in the enormous venue as long as his fans are buying tickets.

Joel recently scheduled a performance on December 19 at MSG, which will mark his 86th show as part of his ongoing residency and his 132nd show ever at the venue, according to JamBase.

Citi cardmembers can currently by tickets on presale through August 11 at 10 p.m. ET, and a general ticket sale will begin on August 12 at 10 a.m. ET.

Joel has become strictly a greatest-hits act in recent decades, as he hasn’t released a new studio album since 1993’s River Of Dreams.

In a 2019 interview with Rolling Stone, the singer admitted, ‘I’ve gone onstage and said, “I don’t have anything new for you, so we’re just going to play the old s***. And the audience goes, “Yeah!”‘

He also suggested he could continued filling up MSG because of how few musical superstars of his generation are still kicking.

‘I’ll be sitting in the stadium looking out at 30,000, 40,000, 50,000 people, thinking, “What the hell are they all doing here? Why now?” I guess, in a way, I’m an anachronism. There aren’t that many of me left. There’s a rarity to it, which gives it value.’

Not stopping: Despite not releasing an studio album since 1993, he has had a monthly residency at MSG since 2014, with dates scheduled through December 2022; seen in February in NYC
