Breaking: Two Prince George’s County Maryland schools on lockdown after a young girl is shot

A young girl has suffered ‘critical injuries’ following a shooting in Maryland and at least two schools in the vicinity are on lockdown.
Prince George’s County Police Department said cops are at the scene near Palamar Drive and Woodstream Drive in Lanham on the outskirts of Washington DC.
They described the situation as ‘active’ and it is not clear whether a suspect has been detained.



‘We are on scene of a shooting near Palamar Dr & Woodstream Dr in Lanham, the department said.
‘Prelim: female victim transported w/critical injuries.
‘Two schools nearby with after school activities – DuVal HS & Robert Goddard MS – are on lockdown. Active investigation.’
The victim’s age is not yet known, but police said she is a ‘juvenile’, according to NBC.
