British Fashion Awards 2019: Mollie King dazzles alongside Rochelle Humes

They’re both singers with a show-stopping fashion sense.

And Mollie King and Rochelle Humes proved their style credentials once again on Monday as they stepped out for the British Fashion Awards.

Former Saturday’s singer Mollie, 32, opted for a strapless polka dot gown as she hit the red carpet at London‘s Royal Albert Hall.

The outfit gave a hint of the singer’s curves, emphasising her ability to make a statement on the red carpet.

Mollie’s dress also boasted two black bows which added a further quirky touch to her look.

And the star’s honey hued tresses were styled in loose waves which hung loosely on her shoulders.

Rochelle, 30, proved that she was more than a match for Mollie’s headline-grabbing display as she wowed in a shimmering gold gown which boasted oversized puffed shoulders.

To accompany her dress, Rochelle displayed a gold jewel-encrusted ball-shaped bag.

Also at the British Fashion Awards was Mollie’s ex, supermodel David Gandy.

The couple dated from 2011 until 2016, shortly before the model became a father for the first time with his lawyer girlfriend Stephanie Mendoros.

Last year, the former couple crossed paths at an event for Land Rover and when asked by friends if it was uncomfortable, a diplomatic David replied that it was not.

Mollie has had her fair share of breakups and previously likened The Saturdays’ split to a ‘break up’ and speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she admitted she felt lost after the band parted ways.

The beauty thanked Strictly for ‘bringing her back to life’, as she recalled: ‘I definitely struggled with it being over, I loved being in the band and there wasn’t one day where I wished that we weren’t doing it’.

Meanwhile, Rochelle has recently been working seven day weeks, according to her Instagram Stories, as her presenting career skyrockets.

She presented Children in Need on Friday, alongside her husband Marvin. The couple also currently host The Hit List.

The wardrobe mishap comes after she revealed she agreed to pose nude for Women’s Health September issue because she learnt to ‘love her body’ over time.

During an appearance on This Morning last month, the musician explained becoming a mother helped her become more ‘confident’ in her own skin.

The curly-haired beauty explained: ‘They asked me to do it about four or five years ago and I was like “No, never will I do that!”

‘And then they called me again earlier this year and I thought “Do you know what, I feel in such a different place in my life now” which is weird.

She continued: ‘After having two kids I’m more body confident than I ever was. I think maybe there was an element of me being in a girl band and I was always around four other girls. I’m not sure what happened, but I thought “Yeah, why not?”‘
