A 36-year-old man, reported to be of British nationality, died this morning after falling from the roof of a building in Sant Antoni, Ibiza.
Local media says that the man plunged from the seventh floor and into an inner courtyard.
An urgent call was made to the emergency services at 2am following the incident in Calle Vara del Rey.
Two ambulances of 061, the Civil Guard and Local Police went to the scene and found the man lying on the floor.
Medics said there was nothing they could do to save the man’s life because of the severe injuries he had suffered in the fall.
At this stage, no details have been given about the circumstances or whether the Brit was on holiday or living in Ibiza.
The judicial police of the Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation.
Pictures of the building seem to suggest it is a residential block of flats rather than holiday accommodation. The apartments are topped with a roof terrace surrounded by railings.
