Bunnings Warehouse is known to be the hardware hub in Australia for DIY products, furniture, garden accessories and materials – but now the retailer is selling far more on a ‘secret’ website.

Customers can now browse through thousands of products from different brands on the Bunnings Marketplace – including kitchen, bathroom, bedding, indoor living, and more.

Gym equipment, office desks and musical instruments are also among the products.

‘Our wide range of products will help you make your D.I.Y. dreams a reality. Whether you’re planting a new garden, painting a wall, building a deck or just looking for a new barbecue, our huge range has you covered,’ the Bunnings Marketplace website states.

Customers can redesign their bedroom, update the appliances in the kitchen or renovate the bathroom.

Among the kitchen appliances category is a two-in-one toaster and egg cooker to make mornings easier.

There’s also bed sheets, coffee plungers, pillows, fridges, and a range of ‘smart home’ appliances.

It begs the question whether Bunnings is trying to compete with competitors, such as Kmart and Aldi, that offer a massive selection of similar products.

‘I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m thinking of buying a French horn, a banjo, or a drum kit, the Bunnings website is always my first stop,’ the Redditor laughed.

The instruments, that range from guitars to drums and even saxophones and French horns, are sold exclusively online through Bunnings Marketplace where the retailer offers products from different brands.

‘What the heck?’ one commenter quipped while another wondered: ‘What were you searching for to find those?’

‘I’m just the sort of person who would buy a banjo if I saw it in Bunnings,’ a third joked.

‘What. Wait. I just checked and this is a real thing,’ a fourth wrote.

Someone said they had spotted drones for sale on the Bunnings website while another recalled seeing basketball rings and ‘many other random items’.
