Carl Radke reveals anguish following split from Lindsay Hubbard

Summer House star Carl Radke reveals anguish following split from Lindsay Hubbard in letter sent to guests set to attend their cancelled wedding

Carl Radke has apologized to guests who were supposed to attend his wedding to Lindsay Hubbard in a letter sent to loved ones in the aftermath of their split.

The letter, obtained by People, describes the anguish both Carl, 38, and Lindsay, 37, are feeling in light of their broken engagement.

The couple were set to walk down the aisle in Mexico in November, but Carl reportedly called it off.

‘Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I,’ Carl wrote in his letter.

‘We are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves.

‘There have been a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful but sadly at this time we are not moving forward with the wedding.

‘The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I’m crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time.’

Carl recognized the sacrifices guests had already made in preparation for the wedding, and added: ‘I don’t take [this] lightly. We are super grateful for the love and support you have shown us and will do what I can to help with any costs associated with changing plans.’

Carl suggested their guests could still travel to Mexico for fun or simply cancel their plans completely.

‘I’m sorry again this has become such a mess,’ Radke added. ‘Thanks for your unconditional love and support during this tough time. Will be in touch with further updates. With love, Carl’.

News the Summer House stars had called off their engagement emerged late last month, with Entertainment Tonight reporting Carl had informed Lindsay he was unable to ‘move forward with the wedding.’ The split was reportedly filmed and will likely air on the next season of Summer House.

Carl also shared snaps from the festivities, along with the gushing caption, ‘You are going to make such a beautiful bride.’

The garden-party themed bash was held at the Cathedrale at Moxy East Village in New York City.

Speaking with People, Lindsay said of the party: ‘I have such an amazing group of girlfriends that were not going to let me get away without having a bridal shower.’

According to their Honeyfund page, the couple were set to tie the knot on November 17, 2023.

In May 2020, Lindsay clarified via Instagram what happened between the two of them.

‘Unfortunately going into it, Carl didn’t exactly understand that I’m not just dating to date at this point in my life (even if he is my best friend), or that he wasn’t quite ready for the level of commitment I need in a relationship,’ she said.

‘Our expectations were not aligned, which is where it all went wrong.’

‘He owned his s**t and we have both moved on. It took some time and you will continue to see this play out of course,’ she said.

The duo cuddled up in a snap at Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s wedding in September 2021, sparking rumors of a reconciliation.
