Cate Blanchett sprawled across the desk on Tuesday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert while giving answers to The Colbert Questionert.

‘It’s really hard to get to know someone in the confines in one of these interviews,’ host Stephen, 58, said after welcoming the Australian actress, 53, to his CBS show.

Stephen told Oscar-winner Cate that he prepared a questionnaire, a series of 15 questions, that had been ‘ergonomically designed’ to find out who she really is.

‘You can do anything…’, Stephen answered as he burst into laughter as Cate reclined on his desk.

The Colbert Questionert consists of the same 15 questions with the first being, ‘What is the best sandwich?’.

‘I didn’t change your mind,’ Stephen said. ‘I said you could keep your animal and I wanted to explore.’

‘But you disagreed with it,’ Cate said.
