Fall for brown

‘Mauve brown and slate grays are making a major comeback, and a great way to easily incorporate these colors into your day-to-day look is with eye makeup,’ said Deney.

‘I tend to lean towards eyeshadows that are more neutral with either purple, gray, silver or peach undertones so we can still have that pop of color without feeling overdone.’

Brown is the new black across all style categories, including ready-to-wear and accessories.

Chocolate shades ranging from tan to deep mahogany have been all the rage with celebs and street style stars, alike.

Hailey Bieber recently attended the 29th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration in Los Angeles, California, donning a cinnamon Saint Laurent spring/summer 2023 long-sleeve turtleneck dress, and makeup in matching hues.

To get the look, Deney recommends the Morphe 18T Truth or Bare Artistry Palette.

Try a monochromatic look

Donning head-to-toe hues has been trending on the catwalks for some time.

Deney suggests creating a monochromatic effect with your makeup by simply coordinating lipstick to eye makeup, like he did on model Janine Tondu.

Kylie Jenner is always donning the latest beauty trends and at the BoF 500 Gala during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 her glam did not disappoint.

The billionaire stunned with eye makeup and lipstick in harmonious shades of brown.

Pucker up

Lip gloss leaves lips with a a glossy texture and is most often used worn in summer months for its hydrating properties, but it can look just as beautiful in fall/winter.

Deney created a seasonless silky lip for ‘The Real’ co-host Jeannie Mai recently.

He says, ‘As long as your lips are well moisturized before applying, the use of lipstick vs. lip gloss is all about the finish you prefer.’

Adding: ‘Ulta Beauty Juice Infused Lip Oil is one of my favorites to use as a moisturizer or a standalone lip gloss.’

'As long as your lips are well moisturized before applying any lip gloss or lipstick, the use of lipstick vs. lip gloss is all about the finish you prefer,' says Deney

Foundation is like a second skin

There’s something about colder temps that prompts many to switch to a heavier foundation, but Deney recommends using the same one year round, and only adjusting the shade.

‘Simply change the shade you use in the winter to one that matches your skin tone as your tan fades,’ he says.

After all, you want your skin to look just as dewy as it did all summer long.

Deney cautions, ‘Pay attention to your skin changes in case you need a hydrating moisturizer or primer as a base before your foundation.’

He swears by the Ulta Beauty Collection Hydrating Primer.

Get cheeky

Put away your powder blush for the next six months.

‘Cream, liquid and stick blushes are best for the winter because of their moisturizing benefits and how they create the illusion of fresh skin.’

For next-level radiance, the expert recommends giving your cheeks a glow with highlighter. Yes, even in the winter!

‘Highlighter is still a must but opt for a more natural and skin-neutral look,’ he says.

He favors Fenty Beauty’s cheek and highlighter products (FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Create Blush.)

Before highlighting, don’t forget to contour right under the cheekbone by pressing and blending the product to create the illusion of shading, also at the side of the forehead along the hairline, and the jawline from earlobe to chin.

It lifts and warms up the skin, à la ‎Zoe Kravtiz.

For contouring, Deney suggests FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Match Stix Contour Skinstick.
