Charlamagne tha God teamed up with young adult author Judy Blume on Wednesday at a screening of the upcoming film adaptation of Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret? in New York City.

The 84-year-old writer wrapped an arm around the 44-year-old radio show host during a screening event held at the Crosby Street Hotel.

The Breakfast Club co-host beamed while posing next to Judy who read a chapter from her classic 1970 novel before joining NBC’s Jenna Bush Hager, 41, for a fireside chat.

The film’s star Abby Ryder Fortson, 14, also was in attendance along with co-star Benny Safdie, director Kelly Fremon Craig and producer James L. Brooks, 82.

There was a corresponding event in Los Angeles that also featured Kathy Bates, 74, who portrays Margaret’s grandmother Sylvia, and producer Julie Ansell.

Judy told the attendees that she was on the set of the film when they filmed the ‘we must, we must, we must increase our bust!’ scene and noticed they were doing the movement incorrectly.

She quietly told producer Julie out of respect for director Kelly Craig and after her note was shared the exercise was corrected on set asnd they later shared a laugh about it.

Judy admitted that she cried after seeing the finished film for the first time.

The film also features Rachel McAdams, 44, as Margaret’s mother Barbara.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret will be released on April 28 by Lionsgate.

The coming-of age novel was released in 1970 by Bradbury Press and follows sixth-grader Margaret Simon.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret was a break-through bestseller and was selected in 1970 by The New York Times as the Outstanding Book of the Year.

It is the first time that Judy has permitted a film adaptation and she also was a producer.
