- Chris Harrison is opening up about filming Matt James’ season of The Bachelor in Pennsylvania.
- Chris say the show is using the same blueprint and formula as Clare Crawley’s season.
Matt James’ season of The Bachelor is currently filming in Pennsylvania, and according to Chris Harrison, it’s going amazing. Chris told Entertainment Tonight that production is basically using the same setup as they did for Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette (read: everyone is trapped in a resort together and getting regular COVID-19 tests), but it’s going…uh, more smoothly.
“It’s the blueprint and the formula we used to shoot Clare’s season, and is working out perfectly,” Chris Harrison shared. “I can tell you it’s working, it’s successful and—knock on wood—it’ll continue to be successful.”

Meanwhile, Chris said Matt “is absolutely awesome” and also spoke a little bit about Clare Crawley, saying he is not “disappointed” or “mad” at Clare for bowing out of her season (though she’s implied she was actually forced out by producers).
“I definitely am not disappointed in Clare,” he said. “I’m not mad at Clare, none of this is a bad thing. If Clare’s falling for somebody, and that’s where this goes, then great. The whole purpose of this is to help Clare find love… If I do it in record time, that should go on my record. That should be a good thing.”
