Christian Wilkins gets VERY loose and shows off his dance moves as he parties at the Birdcage during Derby Day in Melbourne

Christian Wilkins was feeling footloose and fancy free on Tuesday.

The actor and model swanned around the celebrity-laden Birdcage at Derby Day in Melbourne and was quick to show off his dance moves.

The 27-year-old let loose and held a dance party of one, shimmying and shaking his money maker to the music playing on the grounds.

Flexing his long limbs, Christian, who was wearing a tiara and mint green suit, was having a ball while boogying to the Madonna hit Like a Prayer.

He was soon joined by a friend, the pair throwing their hands in the air as they sung along with the lyrics.

Christian kept the party going when the next track, Beyoncé’s Cuff It came on, and he whipped other partygoers up into a frenzy.

An excited group formed around the influencer, with a makeshift dance party breaking out.

Earlier in the day Christian spoke out after a troll called him ‘an attention-seeking r****d’ while criticising his outfit at Penfolds Derby Day on Saturday.

He told Daily Mail Australia at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday he would rather be called a ‘f*g’ than have trolls make fun of people with disabilities.

‘My eldest brother has Down syndrome and I just don’t think that people should use [that word],’ the 27-year-old said.

‘If people want to attack me, I would honestly prefer to be called a f*g. At least that’s me and my community and I can defend it,’ he added.

‘I know, speaking of behalf of my brother, he doesn’t necessarily have the ability to articulate.’

A keyboard warrior had called Christian ‘an attention-seeking r****d’ on Instagram over the weekend in response to his feminine outfit at Derby Day.

Christian responded by reposting the cruel meme on his Instagram Stories, adding that he found the term – a slur aimed at disabled people – objectionable.

‘Honestly think what you want,’ Christian wrote. ‘But as a sibling of someone with a disability, I find this term extremely offensive.’

Christian, who has four siblings, is the son of Richard Wilkins, one of Channel Nine’s longest-serving presenters.

Richard’s eldest son, 47-year-old Adam, has Down syndrome.

The troll had mocked Christian’s Derby Day outfit as if it were a Halloween costume.

The meme listed several ‘features’ on the costume’s packaging, including ‘tucking tape’, ‘chicken fillets’ and ‘Richard Wilkins’ tick of approval’.
