She said: ‘I’m a little bit of both, I like manners and I like all the old schooly stuff. But we like we get out a lot.

‘I’m one for getting them out into the park with the dog and I do my best to be the best that I can.’

Asked what Frank is like as a father, Christine added: ‘Oh, he’s the biggest softie ever. The second they want something, it’s like, ‘Daddy!”

Christine made a solo appearance at the Who Cares Wins Awards, with Frank currently abroad with Everton during the World Cup’s mid-season break.

The star brought a touch of sparkle to proceedings in a midnight blue gown adorned with sequins that highlighted her svelte physique.

Discussing how the NHS has helped her throughout her life, Christine said: ‘I’m very blessed that I live a 30 second walk away from the Chelsea Westminster, which has come in ridiculously incredibly handy with two little babies who have had various bits and pieces as we’ve all done over the past couple of years.

‘So I mean we can’t praise it enough and I think sadly we don’t hear enough individual stories from people who work day in, day out trying to make all of our lives better and tonight hopefully does that a little bit.

‘Just a little bit of a spotlight on the goodness that is still in this world. We hear so much bad stuff at the minute. It’s so lovely to actually celebrate like the good people still, and that’s what we’re here to do.’

The event celebrates dedicated healthcare workers in a star-studded ceremony hosted by TV presenter Davina McCall with awards including Best Doctor, Best Midwife and Best Team.

In August, Christine admitted that she and Frank don’t plan on expanding their brood as she’s ‘too old’, with the star joking that her little ones leave her ‘knackered’.

In a new interview with OK! magazine, she candidly gave a rare insight into her family life, detailing how she and Frank cope with them currently living apart due to work.

The TV star stepped back from full-time work to concentrate on raising her young family, but despite being ‘blessed’ with her children, she told how two was quite enough because of her age.

‘I’m too old. I think if I was younger I would have thought about it, but I feel very blessed with the two of them – and I’m knackered!’

She went to say that she ‘rarely’ finds time for herself, saying that she’s in bed an hour after getting her children to sleep.

Christine added that she’s ‘blessed’ to have had her children later in life as she did ‘anything I wanted’ in her twenties and thirties, but she weirdly feels that now she’s ‘busier than ever!’
