Courteney Cox is Santa Monica chic in fitted black top and skintight jeans as she heads to dinner at celeb-favorite Giorgio Baldi

Courteney Cox was Santa Monica chic when she was spotted stepping out for dinner in the seaside neighborhood this week.

The 57-year-old actress, who became a global superstar on Friends, slipped into a clinging black sweatshirt that played up her trim midriff.

She was grabbing a bite to eat at the Italian eatery Giorgio Baldi, which has become a celebrity hot spot and where she is frequently spotted.

Courteney emphasized her enviably svelte waistline by tucking her top into a pair of skintight blue jeans that threw her slender legs into relief.

Letting her signature wavy dark hair tumble freely over her shoulders, she sharpened her unmistakable features with naturalistic makeup.

Slinging on a black handbag, she threw a midnight blue sweatshirt over one forearm in case of a possible drop in temperatures.

Courtney has spent eight years dating the Northern Irish musician Johnny McDaid, who has written for such stars as Ed Sheeran and P!nk.

During that time they were briefly engaged but never tied the knot, calling off the engagement in 2015 when they temporarily split.

Although they repaired their romantic relationship they never got engaged again, though Courteney has suggested marriage is not entirely off the table.

In January she talked to People about the prospect of marrying Johnny, saying: ‘I don’t know. I’m definitely not opposed to it. I just don’t think about it.’

She and Johnny were kept apart for nine months by the COVID-19 lockdowns as he was in the UK and she in the US but they reunited in December 2020.

‘I’ve learned that love is precious. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that,’ she reflected when she looked back on how the pandemic forced them to stay separate.

On the professional front Courteney is starring on the series Shining Vale, co-created by Sharon Horgan who has previously helped create such series as Catastrophe.

Sharon’s co-creator on Shining Vale is Jeff Astrof, a writer who has worked on programs including The New Adventures Of Old Christine and Trial And Error.

Courteney is heading up a star-studded cast including Oscar winner Mira Sorvino and Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear.

As it happens Mira starred in the cult comedy Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion with Courteney’s Friends cast-mate Lisa Kudrow.

The connection brought all three of them together in March at a premiere event for the series where Courteney, Mira and Lisa stood as a trio for group shots.
