The double Oscar winner, who is married to former Strictly star Greg Wise, says she’s come to terms with her ‘painful’ divorce from her first husband, Sir Kenneth Branagh.

‘Sometimes things go wrong and it doesn’t last, and that seems perfectly reasonable to me.’

It comes as Emma is on the promotional trail for her latest film, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande.

The film follows Nancy, a widowed school teacher who hires a male escort (Daryl McCormack) for a date, hoping to experience an orgasm for the first time.

The project saw Emma film one scene naked with her co-star Daryl which she admitted in January was ‘very challenging to be nude at 62’.

The film star revealed that she and co-star Daryl McCormack both rehearsed the scene fully nude, with Emma telling Entertainment Weekly: ‘We aren’t used to seeing untreated bodies on the screen.’

Adding that director Sophie Hyde also disrobed, she said: ‘Sophie, Daryl, and I rehearsed entirely nude and talked about our bodies, talked about our relationship with our bodies, drew them, discussed the things that we find difficult about, things we like about them, described one another’s bodies.’

‘It’s very challenging to be nude at 62. She stands in front of a mirror alone and she drops her robe,’ Emma said of her character, Nancy Stokes.
