Boy George made a sheepish return to the stage on Monday night’s episode of The Voice after his dramatic storm-off was aired on Sunday.
The 57-year-old threw a tantrum over what he deemed ‘rude’ behaviour from contestant Daniel Shaw.
However backstage, the singer admitted he had misunderstood the comments before sheepishly slinking back out to rejoin the show.

Speaking to a producer, Boy said: ‘I just misheard what was said, and I just went, you know when you go in the moment?’
‘I am kind of fine now and I’m a bit embarrassed. I’m cool, I’m not annoyed, I was just annoyed in the moment.
‘I’ve got to go and find somewhere not to be embarrassed. I’ll have to be tied to my seat.’

He added: ‘I had string of nos, and I had a bit of a diva moment. Sometimes you just care too much, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing’.
The drama began on Sunday when Daniel, a shy, 21-year-old busker from Melbourne, had just given a moving performance, turning the chairs of all four mentors.
But a misunderstanding between Boy, who had failed to secure anyone for his team during the episode, and Daniel, led to an explosive storm off.
Boy asked Daniel, ‘Do you play guitar?’ to which Daniel responded: ‘I can play guitar, but no-one really cares if I play guitar.’

The 1980s star snapped back: ‘No-one cares? I do. I think after that comment, go with Delta. ‘No-one cares if I play guitar’? It’s a weird thing to say.’
Daniel looked embarrassed and flabbergasted as the British star then swore, before standing up and storming off.
Backstage, the Karma Chameleon singer angrily told a producer: ‘I’m annoyed. He turned around to me and goes, ‘No one cares if I play guitar’. Rude. That’s not cool.
He added a few choice swear words for the Melbourne singer-songwriter, before insisting: ‘I’m not coming back.’
