EMILY PRESCOTT: Prince Harry is ‘living his dream in the US playing polo while his brother has sacrificed the sport in the name of duty’, reveals British player who knows members of his Los Padres team

Prince Harry is living his dream in the US, playing professional levels of polo while his brother William has sacrificed the sport in the name of duty.

That’s the fascinating insight offered to me by British player Millie Hine, who was victorious in the Chestertons Polo in the Park tournament yesterday.

Millie, 19, knows members of Prince Harry’s Los Padres team and tells me he trains four times a week and goes to the gym most days to keep up with star player Nacho Figueras, the ‘David Beckham‘ of polo, as well as two 17-year-olds on the same team.

In contrast, busy William can manage only the occasional charity day. (Above, William and Harry at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in 2019)

In contrast, busy William can manage only the occasional charity day – so much for polo being the sport of kings!

Meanwhile, I’m not exactly chomping at the bit to buy the eye-wateringly pricey Los Padres ‘merch’, which includes a £559 tote.

No Kidding… Jodie’s set for a big wedding

Look out! Jodie Kidd wants her wedding to outdo that of reality star Kourtney Kardashian.

Jodie, who is set to marry for the third time, will be tying the knot with ex-Marine Joseph Bates at her family’s Barbados estate Holders next spring.

‘There will be more bridesmaids than guests as I have so many girlfriends I can’t choose between them,’ she says.

‘Kourtney’s wedding was something but it looked quite small. Mine will be bigger. But I think I’ll avoid having the Virgin Mary on my veil like her!’

I’m not sure how successful Joanna Lumley will be on Gogglebox – her screen partner Gyles Brandreth reveals she has a tendency to fall asleep on the sofa!

Perhaps that explains why Ab Fab star Dame Joanna appears on only two episodes of the celebrity version of the hit Channel 4 show.

I’m told that all sides are waiting to see how well she fares before signing her up for more.
