Emma Watson swaps the Hogwarts Express for the Pony Express as former Harry Potter star goes horseback riding in Ibiza

Her Hogwarts days saw her travelling in all sorts of unusual ways. 

But former Harry Potter star Emma Watson chose to journey on horseback as she relaxed on holiday in Ibiza this week. 

The actress, 32, unwound with a friend as the pair rode through the paths of the Balearic party island.

Emma kept cool atop the pale grey horse in a burnt orange lacy crop top. She finished her casual look with grey capri leggings and wore her light brown hair loose. 

Ensuring she remained safe on the trip on Sunday, the Harry Potter actress wore a black riding helmet. 

The women’s rights activist appeared completely at ease on the trek, wearing black riding boots and clutching the reins in one hand.

The island appears to have cast a spell on the star, who often holidays there. She was reported to have even lived in Ibiza for several weeks at the end of 2020.

Her latest appearance comes after she appeared to slam Harry Potter author JK Rowling as she took to the stage at this year’s BAFTAs.

The star – best known for her role as Hermione Grainger in the film adaptations of Rowling’s books – took to the stage to present the award of Best Outstanding British Film, when she was introduced by host Rebel Wilson.

‘Here to present the next award is Emma Watson. She calls herself a feminist, but we all know she’s a witch,’ said Rebel, by way of introduction. 

Emma then emphasised: ‘I’m here for ALL the witches!’

The jabs come after JK’s statements on transgender issues were branded transphobic by some fans.

The controversy surrounding her began after she tweeted about biological sex leading to backlash and a subsequent ‘cancellation’ from the trans community.
