Two teenagers have been charged after a spate of alleged vicious assaults, where a gang allegedly bashed and robbed five men in separate incidents.
Police allege the men, aged 77, 58, 53, 50 and 27, were all separately lured to parks in Evans Head and Ballina on NSW‘s north coast via a dating app in October and November this year.
On Tuesday, police arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl over the alleged assaults.

Their arrests come a week after four other teenagers, all aged between 16 and 17, were charged with police alleging all six were linked to the assault.
All the men lured to the parks believed they were meeting a person they’d been talking to online.
All five were hospitalised with the 77-year-old man allegedly being knocked unconscious at the park.
Police allege another was dragged from his car and repeatedly bashed.
The girl was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm while the 16-year-old boy was charged after handing himself in at Ballina Police Station.
He was charged with four counts of robbery in company cause wounding or grievous bodily harm, and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Both were refused bail and are set to appear at a children’s court on Tuesday.

The arrests come a week after police seized a white ute they allege was connected to the attacks.
Police seized the car for forensic examination at the Pacific Highway at Broadwater and are also examining a toolbox discovered at the property.
The discovery of the car was after CCTV footage of the vehicle was put out as a state-wide appeal for information last Thursday.

Timeline of the alleged assaults of five men on the NSW north coast
October 31: A 58-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by two men at the Chinamans Beach car park in Evans Head. The man was allegedly dragged from his car and assaulted repeatedly. His vehicle was then allegedly stolen.
November 5: A 77-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and knocked unconscious by four young people at the Evans Head skate park. His vehicle was allegedly stolen.
November 6: A 27-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by four males at a park on Elms Street in Evans Head. He allegedly ran to a nearby medical centre to escape.
November 12: Two separate incidents resulted in a 53-year-old man and a 50-year-old man being allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in Ballina. Each man allegedly had belongings stolen.
