Former t.A.T.u singer Lena Katina, 37, looks worlds away from her teen pop star days as she marries businessman Dmitry Spiridonov

She rose to fame as a member of raunchy Russian girl group t.A.T.u in the early noughties.

And Lena Katina looked world’s away from her teen pop days as she married millionaire businessman Dmitry Spiridonov.

The singer, 37, gave fans an update on her personal life on Instagram as she told how she and Dmitry tied the knot on June 16.

Lena shared a snap of the pair and wrote: ‘Well I’m married again… I can’t believe it. I love you.’ 

The star was previously married to Sasha Kuzmanović from 2013 to 2019 and shares son Alexander, seven, with him. 

Days earlier, she proudly showed off her three-carat engagement ring which she described as a ‘museum piece’ and said it was worth ‘a lot of zeros’.

The star said she decided against having media at her wedding, saying: ‘We’ll just sign the papers and think about having a big bash later.

‘Both Dima and I know what we want to do, we will do everything for ourselves.’ 

According to The Sun, Dmitry previously battled thyroid cancer and went into remission after treatment.

The cancer later returned but he is said to be in remission once again.

Lena was previously a member of girl group t.A.T.u alongside Julia Volkova who found international fame with their single All The Things She said in 2002.

The music video caused considerable controversy at the time, with the duo portraying an underage lesbian couple.

The video was banned from being played on ITV’s show CD:UK at the time, with producer Tammy Hoyle quoted as saying it was ‘not really suitable for children’.

Lena and Julia later clarified they were never in a relationship. 

The group represented Russia in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest – where they finished third – and split in 2011.
