Gloria Estefan reveals kissing Father Of The Bride co-star Andy Garcia was the first time she’s locked lips with another man in 47 years outside of her marriage

Gloria Estefan unveiled the surprising fact during a joint interview with Andy Garcia on the Today Show Thursday.

The actress confessed that kissing her co-star Garcia, 66, in their new movie Father Of The Bride, was the first time she had locked lips with another man in 47 years – outside of her marriage to husband Emilio Estefan.

The star has been married to Emilio for almost 44 years, having met when she became the vocalist for his band Miami Sound Machine.

They officially began dating in 1976 and married in September 1978.

Estefan, 64, and Garcia are very close friends, which made the kiss easier for the singer and actress.

On the Today Show, the Conga singer stated, ‘He’s the only man I’ve kissed after Emilio in 47 years.’

‘But if I ever had to kiss anyone in a movie, I’m glad it was Andy because he made me feel comfortable,’ she later added.

However, that still didn’t stop the star from making sure her husband, Emilio, was no where around when the two actors locked lips.

‘I shipped Emilio out of state. I wanted him out of the studio because I didn’t want his energy anywhere near there,’ Gloria said during the interview.
