Realising his sister had become upset, Pete, 26, asked Sophie: ‘Are you all right?’

To which she replied: ‘It’s just sad, innit, it’s just s**t for everybody.

‘It just gets even worse and more people are going to lose their jobs and things like that. It’s just awful.’

He told her: ‘Don’t be upset kid. Because you’ll set me off.’

Sophie and Pete’s latest appearance comes after it was reported that fans had accused the Channel 4 show of ‘homophobic’ comments, after a moment in last week’s episode saw him wear lingerie for Halloween.

The reality star wore a semi-sheer cami, a leather skirt, fishnet tights and insisted the outfit gave off the impression he was: ‘Getting c**k tonight.’

The scene saw the Gogglebox star stroll into the living room wearing the sexy ensemble, much to the amusement of his sister Sophie.

Before his outfit was revealed, viewers heard Pete moan: ‘Oh my God, I’m going to have to take these heels off – how do women wear this s**t?’

After revealing his Halloween costume, he continued: ‘I look like a d***head, honestly – this outfit says: “I’m getting c**k tonight”.’

Sophie replied: ‘That is the look we were going for!’ to which Pete responded: ‘Well it’s not the look I want to give off!’

According to The Sun, following the scene, Ofcom received ‘multiple complaints’ about ‘alleged homophobic comments’.

MailOnline has contacted both Gogglebox and Ofcom for comment.

The report comes after Gogglebox was hit with more Ofcom complaints after some viewers were left unimpressed with comments made about Bill Bailey’s dance moves.

During the episode Giles and his wife Mary were seen watching the comedian’s first routine on Strictly Come Dancing, with Giles saying: ‘He looks like a sex tourist.’

The Channel 4 show received 10 complaints after it aired last Friday, with some people expressing their shock at the TV regular’s description.

An Ofcom spokeswoman told The Sun the complaints ‘were mainly about alleged homophobic comments and two complaints about Giles’ description of Bill Bailey as a “sex tourist”.’

MailOnline contacted Ofcom and Gogglebox for a comment at the time.
