A woman’s body has been found at Scarborough Beach in Perth, closing the entire beach as detectives scramble to find out her cause of death.
Homicide squad and forensic officers were called to the scene about 5.30am on Sunday.
Her body was found on the sand near Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club house on the Esplanade, according to The West Australian.
Police said detectives from the homicide squad were now investigating, but would not confirm if the woman’s death had been deemed suspicious.

Scarborough Beach is closed to the public as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
The body was covered in a tarp in full view of the public on Sunday morning.
Police taped off the area, but the body was seen in the background of a photograph taken at the same time.
The woman’s cause of death is not yet known.
