The new season was pre-recorded for the first time this year, and production was also relocated from South Africa to northern NSW due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Several stars entered the jungle camp on Sunday, including Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer, comedian Ash Williams and retired AFL player Travis Varcoe.

Singer-songwriter Paulini Curuenavuli made her debut as well, after finding fame on Australian Idol back in 2003.

Many are speculating the next celebrity heading into the jungle will be Australian rules legend Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico.

‘I think people see me as a bit of a character, easy to get along with,’ the mystery male camper said in a teaser.

‘I love conversation, I love talking. I’m a lover, I’m not a fighter. If I fail, well, I fail, but I don’t fail.’

Despite the celebrity’s face being blurred, one fan quickly tweeted: ‘So that’s Dipper tomorrow – Go @HawthornFC #ImACelebrityAU’.
