Jamie Laing has denied claims he is the heir to the McVitie’s biscuit fortune, even though his great-grandfather started the company.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 32, insisted that contrary to belief he doesn’t have millions of pounds waiting for him from the iconic brand, and he’s the sole creator of his own fortune.
Along with his roles on MIC and various other TV series, Jamie has set up his own business, the vegetarian sweet company Candy Kittens.

Jamie told The Mirror that it is true his great-grandfather started McVitie’s, and it worked as a nice ‘in’ when he joined the cast of Made In Chelsea.
He added: ‘I’m not heir to anything. People always talk about this, I don’t know where this has come from.
‘I think at the beginning of Made In Chelsea, it was all about affluent people and it was a nice story for them.’
Jamie’s ancestor Alexander Grant helped invent Digestives and is the founder of the McVitie’s brand, and it has been regularly reported he and his siblings will share the £485 million biscuit empire.

Last week on Strictly, Jamie and his partner Karen Hauer faced the dance off against Jacqui Smith and narrowly avoided being eliminated.
On Saturday’s show the TV star will perform the Charleston to Zero To Hero from Hercules.
It comes after their week two American Smooth routine to Night and Day by Frank Sinatra, which left them towards the end of the leaderboard with a score of 17 points out of 30.

However despite being in the dance off, this was an improvement on their debut performance of a Cha Cha to Think About Things by Daði Freyr where they only managed to get a 14.
On Friday Jamie gave fans a glimpse into his preparations ahead of week three of Strictly Come Dancing as he shared a sweet snap with Karen.
The dancing duo appeared to be in good spirits as they took a quick break from rehearsals, where they’re learning a Charleston, and smiled for the camera.

He risked the wrath of girlfriend Sophie Habboo on Thursday after he posted a naked snap of her in the bath.
The star cut a casual figure in a black sweater and an orange sports cap as he posed for the selfie, while covering at the same time covering Sophie’s modesty with his hand.
