Jennifer Hudson catches a flight out of NYC after becoming youngest person to achieve EGOT status

Jennifer Hudson was seen catching a flight out of New York City just three days after becoming one of 17 people in the world to achieve EGOT status.

Following her win at the 75th annual Tony Awards for producing A Strange Loop on Sunday, the 40-year-old superstar earned the title as the youngest person to ever earn an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and a Tony Award.

After celebrating the achievement with loved ones all weekend, the mom-of-one kept a low profile at the airport in a baggy jean jacket and sweats.

She completed her casual look with a baseball cap, pink face mask, a white tank and slides with socks.

The Dreamgirls star also sported a pair of oversized pink sunglasses and a blue tote bag on her shoulder.

Hudson came prepared with a pair of headphones in her hand and had a  plush chipmunk toy peeking out of her jacket pocket.

Her outing comes after making history as the third black EGOT winner, and the fifth woman.

Hudson earned the first three elements of the EGOT by winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Media For A Daytime Program as an executive producer on the animated film Baba Yaga in 2021.

She got the Grammy Award as part of The Color Purple winning Best Musical Theater Album in 2017, as well as Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut album in 2009.

And then there was her Oscar trophy for Dreamgirls, which she took home in 2007 for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Effie White, which was said to be inspired by Supremes member Florence Ballard.

Hudson first rose to fame as a finalist in the third season of American Idol in 2004, eventually placing seventh out of the bevy of singers looking to be just the third-ever Idol winner.

Her impressive vocal chops and inviting personality opened many doors for Hudson, who would go on to make her Oscar-winning film debut in Dreamgirls in 2006.

Hudson has since gone on to make a name for herself as an actress in such films as Sex and the City (2008), The Secret Life of Bees (2008), and most recently in Respect (2021), where she portrays the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

Since 2008, the Giving Myself star released four studio albums, which includes the Respect soundtrack. The first two of her records were eventually certified gold in the U.S.

Rounding out her resume, Hudson made her Broadway debut in the hit musical, The Color Purple in 2015.
