‘The best advice I can give to my kids – you can be whoever you believe you can be,’ she began.

‘Find that in yourself and don’t give up. Learn from people who have done it well, then take those ideas and innovate and refine them and make them your own,’ she added.

‘And listen to your parents, we aren’t quite as clueless as we seem when you’re 14,’ she joked.

Lopez revealed during a recent interview with Good Morning America, why she decided to team up with Grameen America.

‘When you get a little bit older, you understand the meaning behind things and you’ve seen enough and you’ve had your own struggle, and seen enough of injustices,’ she revealed.

‘I just feel like this country needs more love and positivity, and people who want to do good things, and are not fighting against each other and who are just giving each other a hand up. That’s important to me,’ the businesswoman continued.

Grameen America is a New York City-based organization that provides financial assistance and education to impoverished women who want to start their own small business.

It was reported by Forbes that J-Lo teaming up with the organization will help them attain their goal of, ‘providing 600,000 Latina entrepreneurs with $14 billion in loan capital.’

‘It feels like the only thing holding the Latino community back is financial literacy and access to capital,’ Lopez told Forbes.
