The 46-year-old attended the 2022 Tony Awards on Sunday and had an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where he discussed news of the written script.

‘The script’s out there and it’s very good,’ the actor stated. ‘So, you know, who knows? If someone wants to produce it, maybe.’

However, in an earlier interview with Andy Cohen on, Watch What Happens Live, the Modern Family alum talked about how there were ‘discussions’ about the spin-off, but that the network chose to not go forward.

‘I think they just were wondering if this is the right family to tell this story,’ the star stated. ‘I think they were, you know, we’ve been on for 11 years and I think they were ready to move in a different direction.’

It appears for a spin-off to officially be in the works, someone needs to pick up the script and produce it.

The series was a huge success, and aired from 2009 to 2010, winning Primetime Emmy Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards during its airtime. The show also had a star-studded cast, including Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, Ariel Winter, and Julie Bowen.

A Modern Family spin-off script is big news, however, Jesse also made a huge milestone for himself.
