‘That sh**’ is hilarious’: Joe Rogan and Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy break down in hysterics at Greta Thunberg’s Andrew Tate Twitter takedown

  • Joe Rogan commended Greta Thunberg on her banter with Andrew Tate
  • Tate, 36, was arrested in Romania on December 28 for human trafficking
  • His arrest came after he posted a video of himself mocking Thunberg, who is an environmental activist, and posing with pizza boxes he insisted not be recycled
  • The boxes had a logo that some suggest tipped off authorities about his location
  • Thunberg hit back after Tate’s arrest and called it karma for not recycling them

Joe Rogan applauded Greta Thunberg‘s contentious Twitter scuffle with Andrew Tate hours before he was arrested for human trafficking charges.

The podcaster appeared alongside Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy for a Thursday episode of The Joe Rogan Experience to discuss the banter that began when Tate mocked the teenage environmental activist over carbon emissions on December 27.

Tate, 36, randomly tagged Thunberg, 20, in a photo of himself filling up his Bugatti supercar before later posting a video lounging in a robe while insisting a pizza box not be recycled.

He was later detained for 24 hours along with his brother Tristan on charges of rape and human trafficking while some viewers suggested the infamous Pizza box gave away his exact location to authorities.

‘This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes,’ Thunberg later Tweeted in response to Tate’s arrest.

Rogan commended Thunberg’s snarky remark that he claimed was a coincidence: ‘That sh**’s hilarious. That sh**’s hilarious. You gotta give it to her. And also like, why are you going after some 19-year-old autistic girl who’s really into climate change?’

Tate and Tristan were arrested by Romanian prosecutors in an alleged organized crime ring that sexually exploited at least six women, who were recruited, housed and forced into performing pornographic videos for sale online.

Rogan admitted that he wasn’t up to date with the Tate case and hoped it wasn’t true for the sake of those involved.

‘I don’t know what’s happening. Right? Like what really happened? And why is Romania going after him?’ Rogan questioned.

While Rogan wasn’t too familiar with the Tate scandal, he was aware of his attack on Thunberg that occurred before his arrest.

It began when Tate had shared a photo of himself filling up his Bugatti supercar, asking her to send him her email address so he could detail the ‘enormous emissions’ his gas-guzzling performance cars spewed out.

‘Hello Greta Thunberg,’ Tate wrote. ‘I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad-turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and its enormous emissions.’

Thunberg issued a brutal comeback in a tweet to her 4.9million followers yesterday, saying: ‘Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld***[email protected]’

The activist rose to fame at the age of 15 for her work to combat the global ‘climate emergency’ and has met a number of world leaders.

Tate then took the dispute to another level and posted a photo of himself smoking a cigar and boasting about the release of greenhouse gasses.

‘I’m obviously a stranger to online controversy, it’s not something I often do,’ Tate said.

He later ordered someone to bring him pizza and requested the boxes not be recycled.

Tate then received two pizza boxes from someone off-camera and continued his bizarre rant, accusing her of being part of a fictional shadowy conspiracy called the ‘matrix’ – possibly in reference to the movie of the same name.

He said: ‘I’m not actually mad at Greta, right, because she doesn’t realise she’s been programmed.

‘She doesn’t realize she’s a slave of the matrix. She thinks she’s doing good.’

Tate was later arrested on human trafficking charges and Thunberg published the iconic tweet mocking the influencer for not recycling his boxes.

‘He’s making fun of Greta Thunberg and then he gets fucking arrested right afterwards,’ Rogan said.  ‘It’s kind of hilarious the way it happens. Like people said that’s the biggest like… self-owned ‘L.’

The Tweet has since received about 140 million views.

Two women have since come forward claiming to be Tate’s victims.

One of the women alleges he raped her, while the other claimed he repeatedly strangled both of them. Tate last night denied the allegations in a statement issued to Vice from his Romanian lawyer.

According to one woman, who was 20 at the time, Tate used ’emotional and physical’ manipulation while running his Luton-based webcam business back in 2015.

She told Vice World News how she was allegedly a regular victim of abuse during her £15-an-hour shifts for Tate’s webcam business from a ‘dingy flat in Luton’ and was strangled ‘at least five times’.

She said: ‘When I saw that he was arrested in Romania I was shocked and didn’t know how to react. I cried. Everything I read is what I told the police [at the time of the complaint].’

The second accuser, who was allegedly raped by Tate, added: ‘I have been very frustrated by the British police and court system for a long time, they could have stopped him from doing the exact same abuse to these women in Romania.

‘I hope and pray he’s finally arrested for his disgusting abuse and crimes against young women, and I can finally exist without having to see and hear the person who degraded and raped me all over the Internet.’
