JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers dating show axed by TBS three weeks before premiere

The big don’t! JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers’ dating show The Big D ‘axed by TBS’ three weeks before it was scheduled to premiere

Those looking forward to JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers’ upcoming dating show will be disappointed now that the series was given the axe by TBS just a few weeks ahead of its scheduled premiere.

The reality TV couple had already filmed the series, titled The Big D, in Costa Rica and were gearing up for a July 7th summer premiere.

Things are not moving forward as planned, however, and TBS confirmed that the network has removed the show from their line-up and ‘assessing their schedule,’ Us Weekly reported Friday.

‘We’re assessing our schedule to ensure we have the right content mix to support our network strategies,’ a TBS spokesperson revealed in a statement.

Adding: ‘We are grateful to JoJo Fletcher, Jordan Rodgers, and the executive producers of ‘Big D’ for their partnership through the process.’

The Big D had begun filming back in 2021 and was set to focus on a group of divorcees attempting to find love alongside their exes.

Hailing from the creators of Dating Naked and Are You the One, Big D planned to feature 10 divorced couples staying in a ‘tropical villa’ in Costa Rica for more than two months together.

Billed as a social experiment for ex spouses, the former couples would try to ‘re-learn’ how to date with the other contestants in the house.

On the show, the contestants would take part in a number of ‘EX-ercises’ designed to both help them find connections and mend fences with their former flames.

Each week, the one person who is not in a relationship would be kicked out of the house in the hopes ‘jealous exes may try to send their rival home or perhaps even defend their exes’ honor.’

Bachelorette couple JoJo and Jordan were slated to host the series and had previously gushed about the project.

‘After a year full of challenges, the opportunity to join forces with TBS and help people find love was a no-brainer,’ Fletcher and Rodgers said in a joint statement when the show was first announced in 2021.

‘We’re excited to go on this adventure in paradise with romantic hopefuls as they step out of their comfort zones and face unconventional dating scenarios in hopes of finding new love,’ they added at the time.

The duo, who have been together since Fletcher picked Rodgers on Season 12 of The Bachelorette in 2016, tied the knot earlier this year.

JoJo and Jordan – who is the brother of controversial football star Aaron Rodgers – already boast an impressive hosting career with: CNBC’s Cash Pad and Paramount Network’s Battle of the Fittest Couples.

JoJo’s career, meanwhile is soaring elsewhere. She recently launched a new fashion line in collaboration with women’s swimwear brand Cupshe.

The reality TV beauty was joined by a bevy of famous Bachelor/Bachelorette friends, including Becca Tilley, Andi Dorfman, Abigail Heringer and Heather Martin to celebrate the launch of the collab at a swanky party in Venice, California.
