Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed, 30, was arrested in the shooting death of her uncle the day after her horror movie wrapped
An actress who was arrested and charged with murdering her uncle had just finished filming a horror movie with a very similar plot line.
In August 2018, Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed, 30, had completed filming From the Dark, about a young tour guide at a lodge in Oregon forest celebrating her last day when things take a sinister turn.
The very next day, she was arrested in connection with the death of her uncle 63-year-old Shane Patrick Moore on July 26, 2016.
Moore-Reed allegedly auditioned for the film while she was out on bail under the pseudonym ‘Wyn Reed.’
According to The Oregonian, in August 2018, police obtained video footage of the shooting and charged her with first and second-degree manslaughter.
She later claimed that she didn’t mean to shoot her uncle but merely meant to fire a warning shot to scare him.
According to local media, there is a similarity between the real-life shooting and one in the movie.
‘There’s a key scene where she shoots somebody in a similar fashion,’ an unnamed source told CBSLA.
Producers told KTVL that, because of the movie’s low budget, they weren’t able to perform background checks.
