Kate Beckinsale recreates Marilyn Monroe’s iconic flying skirt photo as she puts on a leggy display in white mini dress for stunning snap

Kate Beckinsale had a Marilyn Monroe moment as she posed for a stunning snap she shared with her fans on Tuesday.

The actress, 49, put on a leggy display as she donned a white sleeveless mini dress with a v-neckline and embroidered detail.

Kate recreated the famous image of Marilyn stood over a New York Ciy subway, with the breeze causing her dress to blow up as she filmed a scene for the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch.

Kate added height to her frame as she donned a pair of towering beige heels while stood on wooden decking.

The Underworld actress styled her brunette locks into pigtails and complimented her outfit with a pair of sunglasses.

Kate’s dress had ‘Oh no’ written in bright red print across the front, with the star giving her photo the same caption.

The playful post comes after Kate has recently been busy promoting her new film Prisoner’s Daughter in which she stars opposite Succession actor Brian Cox.

News about Prisoner’s Daughter’s development was revealed to the public by Deadline last January, when Beckinsale signed on to appear in the movie.

The film is centered on a terminally ill former convict whose violent past comes back to haunt him while he attempts to reconnect with his daughter and grandson.

In addition to Kate and Brian, the movie stars performers such as Tyson Ritter, Jon Huertas and Ernie Hudson.

Director Catherine Hardwicke previously spoke to Deadline and expressed that her feature would tell a potentially troubling, yet moving story.

The filmmaker described Prisoner’s Daughter as ‘a raw, personal look at a deeply fractured family.’

The director then remarked that she began working on the project with a set intention in mind.

‘I want to fully immerse the viewer in Kate’s character’s intense world as she, her father and her young son try to heal generational family trauma and find a new way forward,’ she said.
