Kate Mara confirms that there won’t be any more seasons of her controversial Hulu drama A Teacher

She played a high school teacher who had a sexual relationship with one of her students in Hulu’s A Teacher.

And Kate Mara told The Wrap on Saturday that there won’t be a second season of the controversial drama.

‘I have heard a lot of people who love the show ask that question, ‘When is Season 2?’ It makes me laugh just because, no, to be honest, there hasn’t been and there was never really any discussion about more seasons,’ the actress, 37, said.

The 10-episode series co-starred Nick Robinson, 25, as the 18-year-old student.

The final episode showed the characters confronting each other 10 years after their illicit relationship ended.

‘I wish we were doing three more seasons of it, but I don’t know how we would continue unless there was no time passing at all, because we’re both playing sort of older than we are [at the end],’ Mara mused.

‘When I called them to ask them what they thought, they said things like, ‘Yeah, we only had to fast-forward four times tonight’. That leaves probably ten minutes of the episode,’ she joked.
