‘I like women that look strong’: Kirsty Gallagher, 46, reveals her post divorce muscles left her clothes ‘popping off’ as friends told her she’d gone too far
Kirsty Gallacher has revealed she turned her hand to weight training after liking how women look with a ‘bit of strength’.
However the presenter, 46, revealed that her workout regime got out of hand following her 2015 divorce with friends telling her she had gone too far.
In an Instagram Live chat with Top Santé magazine the brunette beauty said: ‘Some people don’t but I like the look of women with a bit of strength, I think it’s great!’.

The star, who shares sons Jude, 15, and Oscar 12, with her ex-husband Paul Sampson, went on to reveal that her divorce body workout left her ‘clothes popping out’.
She said: ‘ I don’t want to get too bulky again because it just didn’t look right on me’.
Going on to say that a few people even approached her after she threw herself into weight lifting, forcing her to revaluate her work out regime.
The television personality who often posts snaps of her healthy life style to social media surprised listeners with her extreme dieting habits.

A fan of intermittent fasting Kirsty revealed that she only eats between the hours of midday and six in a bid to keep her lean physique.
The Radio host, who recently split from boxing champ Johnny Nelson, has previously spoken about how her 2015 divorce left her ‘grieving and mourning.’
In 2020 she told The Sun: ‘The divorce was a very difficult period. I found it devastating.

‘I was grieving and mourning. I think I had post traumatic stress disorder. I was skinny, not eating and wanting to black it all out. It was painful.’ t
The former Sky Sports presenter also admitted that she regretted taking part in Strictly Come Dancing so soon after the split, adding that it ‘wasn’t the right time.’
Kirsty, who took part in the show in 2015 and was paired with Brendan Cole told the Made By Mamas podcast: ‘It was a horrible time and I was grief-stricken for the children.
‘I was doing Strictly Come Dancing which I loved but I definitely shouldn’t have done it. It wasn’t the right time.’
