Is that you, Kyle? Radio host Sandilands is left gobsmacked to find his doppelgänger cheering on Argentina in the stands at the 2022 World Cup

Kyle Sandilands was shocked when he discovered his doppelganger was cheering on Argentina during their match against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

On Wednesday, a fan named Peter called in to The Kyle and Jackie O Show to explain he’d spotted a man in the crowd cheering on the team while watching the game at home.

‘Are you in Qatar by any chance?’ he asked.

He explained how his son ‘started jumping up and down’ in front of the TV and began shouting, ‘I saw Kyle! I saw Kyle in the crowd!’

When the radio station played the footage of the crowd in front of Kyle and his fill-in co-host Brittany Hockley, the studio erupted with shock.

‘Oh my God!’ Kyle shouted. ‘That looked exactly like me!’

The 51-year-old radio host said while he hates sport, he did think the unknown man, complete with a beard and hat, was the spitting image of himself.

‘As if I’d be there and fist pumping in the air with a blue and white shirt,’ Kyle added.

‘A lot of people come on here and say “Oh, yeah, I’m your doppelgänger.” Everyone says it. But when I see them, they’re disgusting, right? They’re hideous.’

Peter added: ‘I thought this guy was a good looking guy.’
