And Kym Marsh relived her band days as she sang along to a Hear’Say song during an ‘outrageous night’ at notorious Karen restaurant on Sunday. 

The singer and actress, 46, was joined by her former Coronation Street co-star Antony Cotton at the diner, where they were ‘screamed at ridiculed and generally abused.’

Karen’s Diner is a chain of themed restaurants where staff intentionally insult customers throughout their visit. 

In the clip shared to Instagram, Kym was challenged to a dance-off against her pal Antony, where she ‘danced around the room to every table’ while Pure and Simple was blasted over the speakers. 

Documenting her experience, she penned: ‘Had THE BEST TIME @karensdinerofficial @karensdinerpr.’

It comes after Kym shared a rare snap of her lookalike daughter Emilie, who is currently pursuing a career in music.

The actress gushed over her daughter on Instagram while revealing the singer, 25, was returning to the recording studios on Thursday. 

Former Hear’Say singer Kym – who is also a mother to son David, 27, and daughter Polly, 11 – shared a selfie of her stunning daughter and penned a sweet caption.

Kym wrote: ‘She’s just too beautiful though!! Back in the recording studio today for this one! Sooooo many exciting things happening! GO ON BABY!!!! Love you’

Kym recently recalled her own struggles as a single mum as she compared herself to her new character in the Waterloo Road reboot last week. 

The actress, who stars as school canteen worker Nicky Walters in the soap, said there are ‘elements of Nicky’ that she can relate to.

Speaking in an interview with The Mirror, Kym detailed her past as she raised her children David and Emilie on her own, after falling pregnant with her son aged 18.

She said: ‘I was a single parent for many years when David and Emilie were little. I didn’t have anybody. I struggled to make ends meet. I begged and borrowed from family and friends to help me.

‘Yes, there are elements of Nicky that I get and understand as I’ve been there too,’ Kym explained as she spoke about her life before finding fame.

‘She’s struggling to make ends meet, she’s a single parent, she’s trying to hold down several jobs to make sure her children don’t go without. It’s very relatable right now with the cost-of-living crisis.’
