Lady Gaga took the time to address the backlash she received for her recent Joe Biden campaign video at the Democratic presidential hopeful’s rally in Pennsylvania on Monday.

The video in question showed the 34-year-old Grammy winner wielding a can of beer and rocking a camouflage get-up as she preached to the election’s vital swing states.

‘I put some country clothes on the other day and said I was voting for Joe because I wear Cabela’s when I’m on a four-wheeler in Pennsylvania,’ explained Gaga to the crowd.

She added that regardless of the opinions held by the opposing part, she ‘will not be told what I can and cannot wear to endorse our future president.’

‘So this is what I have to say about that… I may not always look like you. But I am you. We are each other,’ concluded the blonde bombshell, who went on to perform her 2011 hit You And I.

Staying true to her word, the Born This Way singer has not removed the campaign video from her Twitter account.

Specifically, the video showed Gaga rocking her seemingly ‘redneck’ attire as she leaned against a large pickup truck.

‘Hey, this is Lady Gaga. I’m voting for America, which means I’m voting for Joe Biden,’ she began.

‘And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote.’

Gaga then takes a swing from her can of beer before slamming it to the ground saying: ‘Cheers to the 2020 election.’

The video was a major miss with apparent Trump supporters who noted that they ‘don’t own a truck, never worn camo or drank a beer,’ although that did not appear to be Gaga’s intended audience.

While campaigning for Joe Biden in Pittsburgh on the eve of Election Day, Gaga reminded her fans she use to live a few hours away with her ex-fiancé Taylor Kinney.

As she addressed a lively crowd at a drive-in rally, the 11-time Grammy winner noted she was previously ‘engaged to a man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.’

‘I know, I know, it didn’t work out. I loved him so much, it just did not work out. But I still love my Pennsylvania guy. I love Joe! So Joe’s my new Pennsylvania guy!’ she told swing-state voters, after performing her massive hit Shallow.

In the middle of singing her next track, You and I, at the piano, she took a moment to apologize to her current beau, Michael Polansky, for talking about her ex, who she dated for five years from 2011 to 2016.

‘To my boyfriend here tonight, I’m sorry I had to do this whole ‘Pennsylvania, I dated a guy here’ thing, I love you so much, but it’s true,’ she said mid-concert.

The Oscar winner and Kinney first met while shooting her music video for You and I, in which he starred as her on-screen love interest.

Meanwhile, the superstar and Polansky were first romantically linked in late 2019, months after she ended her engagement to Christian Carino.

In the remaining days leading up to the US election on Tuesday, November 3, she has worked hard to influence Pennsylvania, which was previously won by Trump won in 2016.

The living legend has been vocal throughout this election season and recently doubled her efforts in a highly produced video that showed the beauty back in her VMA meat dress and Poker Face bodysuit in order to get out the vote.

In an impassioned speech, Gaga – who already mailed in her own ballot – reminded her 44.8 million followers that ‘you can vote early but you can’t vote late’ and directed them to the Howtovote website.

Gaga, who is a vocal advocate for LGBTQA+ rights, women’s rights, BIPOC and sexual assault survivors joked that it was no secret who she was supporting.

‘Let’s be real, you know who I voted for,’ the singer quipped. ‘Even if you disagree with me, your vote still matters to the world.

Adding: ‘You can vote early but you can’t vote late. And Tuesday is your last shot.’
