Lady Gaga sensation Charlotte Awbery is back showing off her vocals with a brand new performance video.
The singer went viral earlier this year when she was challenged to sing Gaga’s hit single Shallow while getting the tube on the London Underground, in a clip posted to social media.
As the video attracted over 60 million hits in less than a week, Charlotte was propelled to stardom, attracting over 600,000 Instagram followers and even being invited to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres show.
And although Charlotte, 31, has been quiet in recent months in terms of music – partly due to the coronavirus pandemic – she has since treated her fans to a cover of Beyonce’s Listen.
In the video, which was posted to Instagram, Charlotte sings to the camera while the piano is heard playing in the background, as she later belts her heart out as the song’s chorus begins.
Taking to the comments to compliment her on her vocals, one fan wrote: ‘Omg I want to hear the song till the end.’
Another added: ‘Guuuuuurlll your voice is incredible.’
‘Woke up to the sound of perfection,’ another wrote.
Back in March, Charlotte recalled the moment she became a household name to Lorraine Kelly, revealing she was in a rush to meet a friend in Liverpool Street and had no idea what was about to happen.
‘It was random, it was mad, thankfully I knew the song [Shallow]!’ she laughed.
She then stated she had flown to New York for a holiday with pals, when suddenly her phone went wild.
‘It was only when I got to the other end when I saw what was going,’ she explained.
‘I was blown away by it. You couldn’t write it, really.’
And if that wasn’t enough, Charlotte added that she has plans to release her own cover of Shallow – and we certainly look forward to hearing it.
‘Everyone’s been asking me to do the cover of it so I’m actually going to releasing a single of it,’ she added.
