Lili Reinhart reveals she was able to bring her precious pooch Milo home after he experienced what was suspected to be salmonella poisoning

Lili Reinhart revealed that her dog Milo had been discharged from an animal hospital with a post that was shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old actress posted a photo of her pet curled up in bed, and she added a text graphic to her image that read: ‘Baby is home.’

The performer’s dog had previously been held in a medical facility after undergoing what was suspected to be salmonella poisoning.

The actress previously posted a photo of her tiny black and brown dog to her Instagram story late Monday evening. 

‘Please keep Milo in your thoughts [red heart emoji],’ she wrote on the image. 

She added that her ‘sweet angel boy has been in the hospital for over 24 hours now with what we suspect is salmonella poisoning.’

The Riverdale star’s puppy has gone through quite a bit since she adopted him back in 2020. 

Months after the adoption, she had to rush him into emergency surgery after he was attacked by a dog she described as being ’10x his size.’

‘He’s okay. He’s home with me. He had surgery,’ she wrote on Instagram after the surgery. ‘He had a big wound on his head, so part of his head is shaved, and he has a little puncture wound right here as well that’s stitched up.’

She recalled how ‘traumatizing it was for him and me,’ after the event as well.   

‘I’m not sure what made that other dog release its grip on my little baby, but it’s a miracle,’ she continued. ‘And I am so thankful that he is okay and safe at home with me.’

While she’s probably going to spend the next couple days with her injured pup, Reinhart is an exceptionally busy star. 

Her series Riverdale’s sixth season was released in the past spring, and her film Plus/Minus is in post-production. 

The movie will follow Natalie, played by Reinhart as she imagines parallel realities, one where she gets pregnant and moves to Texas and another where she moves to Los Angeles to pursue her professional dreams. 

Hollywood star David Corenswet, Top Gun: Maverick actor Danny Ramirez and Legally Blonde actor Luke Wilson will also appear in the film.
