‘I had a pain in my belly for about two or three days and noticed there was less movement from the baby’.
However after being monitored and hooked up to a machine luckily she said the little one started to ‘move like mad’.
She then underwent tests and discovered she had a urine infection and was later put on antibiotics.
‘I wasn’t convinced [it was a urine infection] because I’ve had them before, but it didn’t feel like this. Apparently the symptoms can change when you’re carrying a baby’.

‘They said if it [infection] goes untreated, it can cause your waters to break. It was really important that I went. It could have cleared up on it’s own, but also could have got worse’.
Last week after arriving at hospital she wrote on Instagram: ‘Came to the hospital this morning because I’ve been having a strange pain in my belly for the last few days that was worrying me.
Baby is happy and chilling but I’ve got an infection that needs treating.

‘I always get scared that I’m wasting the hospital’s time or that what I’m feeling might just be normal when your body is growing a baby, but so glad I listened to my instinct.’
It comes after Shaughna revealed she won’t be naming her unborn baby after her late father because she still struggles with the loss of him not being here.
She said if she has a boy he will be called Billy Edward and his middle name will be inherited from her dad, who sadly lost his life to cancer in 2016.
She explained the baby will be named Billy after her boyfriend, who’s the father, because ‘it would be too much’ for her to say her late dad’s name everyday.
Thank goodness! However after being monitored and hooked up to a machine luckily she said the little one started to ‘move like mad’
Shaughna said: ‘My dad’s name will be the baby’s second name. There’s a few reasons I’m not naming my baby after my dad.
‘My dad’s actual name is Edward but everyone called him Eddie and I just don’t know how okay I would be with saying my dad’s name every day.
‘I still struggle with my dad not being here so I think it would be too much for me. Baby will be Billy Edward if he is a boy.’
She added: ‘We’re keeping the girl’s name a secret but it’s not a sentimental name, just a name we both love.’
The former Islander announced she was expecting in October captioning a montage that included scans of the baby, ‘our greatest chapter yet.’

She shares the unborn child with boyfriend Billy, who isn’t in the public eye and prefers to keep his identity hidden.
When asked by a fan during an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday why she keeps their relationship ‘secret’, Shaughna replied: ‘It’s my boyfriend’s choice to not be posted on my social media so I respect it.
‘Whether he changes his mind in the future, I don’t know but for me now, he would rather not and that’s okay with me.
‘He doesn’t have any social media at all. I guess I make up for the both of us.’

The reality star performed in ITV’s The Real Monty On Ice in 2020 to honour her late father, who lost his fight against pancreatic cancer cancer five years ago.
She said at the time: ‘He had cancer for 18 months and it completely changed my life and my perspective of what I thought was important.
‘When my dad was ill, I felt like no one had any idea what I was going through, even my close friends.
‘So, if anyone watching this is going through what I’ve been through losing him and can then feel like they’re not alone, I’d be so happy to be able to do that.’
